Pennsylvania’s Harrisburg Council treated about 100 youths of a local orphanage to a movie, chicken dinner and other entertainment.
Children from the Sylvan Heights Orphanage took a trip to the New Regent Theater and later got a ride around the city.
At the conclusion of the festivities, “each child was given an orange, a box of candy and an envelope containing a new half dollar.”
Harrisburg Council’s George A. Morrissey and A.S. Banmiller spearheaded the proceedings.
